All our Log packages and pattern stock is sold in random lengths from 3 to 16 feet, we also develop a variety of shorter lengths of pattern stock which we sell at a discount on our Bargain Products page.

Kiln Dried Western Red Cedar "STANDARD Grade", Siding and T&G Paneling.

This is a lower grade suitable for Soffits, Cabins, Rec rooms, Sheds, Barns etc. Defects include unsound knots, some holes, cracks, raised or rough grain, hit and miss skips. Also, pieces with waney backs, these boards usually have select faces.

It is packaged the same as the select, piled on pallets with a 5' bottom cover, a 5' top cover, and then completely wrapped with a 9' cover. All the tongue and groove is string tied or taped in bundles of 6 pieces.

Many customers make this grade look like select. You have to work with shorter pieces. Packages are usually pulled (28' to 5.5') (6' to 10'), (10.5' to 12') (12.5' to 16'). Orders are normally made up random length.

If a customer has an area that requires a lot of shorts, we try and pull the lengths required, as we do chop and save right down to 6" long. There is no need for the customer to chop for example 8' lengths into short pieces when we may have the lengths required in inventory.

It is easier to chip it or chuck it; the proper way is chop it and save it, and sell it, so take the time to measure the area and lengths required. An example requested for G 36 was 13 ps 4", 7 ps 6", 9 ps 8", 10 ps 2', 10 ps 3', 6 ps 3.5', 14 ps 4', 170 ps 6' 3" total 239 ps. (For the 6' 3" ps we supplied 6.5') It is also easier to ship and handle a short package.
